I downloaded from the new site you emailed to me Oct 1. Opened and unzipped in new folders. Opened spreadsheet by double clicking on the file in new folder. Still no luck in making it work. (I still see the old formula in cell N5)
Whatever I am doing wrong, I just can't see it.
I will just continue to use the older version and cut and paste formulas as needed.
A mystery.
Thanks for your help anyway.

The original spreadsheet I downloaded after purchasing the spreadsheet, had a formula that resulted in a "Value" error.
We discovered that there was a newer version of the spreadsheet that had the correct formula which worked. (see previous posts.)
You then sent me via email, a link to download this "newer" version. When I downloaded the "new" version and opened the spreadsheet, it still had the same formula in the cell that the previous, incorrect version did.
Apparently the "new" version I downloaded from your recent email is identical to the "old" version I already had.
Both have the incorrect formula in the cell. (cell N5).
I believe that the site from which I downloaded the spreadsheet has to incorrect older version.
BTW I have only tried two tickers JNJ and KO. No pinksheets or anything. So the problem still seems to be that I do not have the latest version.
Could you please send me via email the correct "new" version as an attachment?

You mean where the year comes out as "error"? Are you just suddenly getting it again?
If you are doing pink sheets or sub 1c stocks, that could happen.

hmmm….
I downloaded the version you sent, but it appears to be the same thing, and I still have the same problem.
Any more ideas?

I copied and pasted your line in that cell and that fixed it!
Do I need to download a new version? If so how?

Are you using the latest version because cell N5 should be
=RCHGetTableCell("http://quicktake.morningstar.com/StockNet/cashflow10.aspx?Symbol="&Ticker,30,">Cash Flows From Operating Activities",,,,1,"</table")
What is the formula you see in N5?

Do you live outside the United states?
That will only happen if you do.
If you go to http://www.advfn.com on your browser, are you redirected to another url?
These are the steps to take if you are redirected to somewhere like ca.advnf.com
Open the spreadsheet.
1.Right click on the any of the tab and click "view code". This will bring up a window with code in it.
2. On the left side, navigate to a folder called RCH_Stock_market_function
3. Open up the subfolder called "modules"
4. right click "modCreateComment" and then click on the main body window
5. press CTRL+F to find
6. select Search Current Project
7. search for http://www.advfn.com and replace with the URL you got directed to. e.g. ca.advfn.com or fr.advfn.com etc
8. save the file.
9. Enter ticker and go go go

yes,
I installed the add-in. (I have rechecked that I have RCH_Stock_Market_functions.xla) and that the check box is checked in Excel Add ons for this function.
When I open the spreadsheet, everything looks fine. Then if I hit "refresh" I get the "Value" errors.
Can you suggest a very simple way to insure that the function is working or not?
The two tickers I attempted were JNJ and KO.
I have many other addIns in ….Application DataMicrosoftAddIns, but I did browse to C:SMF for this add-in.
As an check, I looked at the "statements" sheet cell E14. this value does not update when I change tickers.
I have read again through the installation procedures and cannot see any mistakes I am making.
What do you suggest?

Hi,
I recently bought your spreadsheet (OSV_sTOCK_VALUATION-v20100821.xlsm) and have not been able to make it work!
It appears to be unable to go to the correct website to obtain data updates.
I tried "setting cookies" by going to smartmoney.com.
When I first started it, it looked ok, but when I tried reload "JNJ" I could not get any values.
cell N5 OF "STATEMENTS" SHEET has this formula….which results in #VALUE! MSG that propagates thru the sheet:
=RIGHT(RCHGetTableCell("http://www.smartmoney.com/quote/"&Ticker&"/?story=financials&timewindow=1&opt=YI",2,">Income Statement (Non-Cumulative)",,,,1,"</table"),4)
Please help!
