On your spreadsheet previously you had an msn option and a advfn that I could choose from, so I was playing around with it and I found that if I used the msn one it worked just great. I just had to go in and change that option.

Curious but how did you get the EPV section working previously? The EPV uses advfn data and wouldn't have worked before as well.

1. On the left side column, click and expand "RCH_Stock_market_Function"
2. click and expand "modules"
3. doubleclick the first one "modCreateComment"
4. click anywhere on the main window with the code to select that window
5. CTRL + F
6. Check "Current Project" in the find box
7. find "http://www.advfn.com/"
8. Then just replace that url with "http://ca.advfn.com/"
9. click find next and replace the URL again. Should only be 2-3 instances.

Jae,
I have been playing around with two RCH Files in the SMF folder. I have opened both of them up and tried to find where to edit the macros and I can't seem to find the macros that need to be edited.
This is the path that I went to try and find the macro. Excel OrbExcel OptionsChecked Show developer tab. In the Develpor tab I clicked on Macro Security and then enable all macros. I have played around with it but I don't see any macros that I can edit. Can you please provide a source to where I need to go to find the macros.
Thanks,
Rocky

Yea let me know. There are only two places to change the URL and it's real easy but I'm here to help as much as possible if you are unsure.

No there is a way to use it.
Are you comfortable with editing the macro to simply change the URL from the US advfn to the CA one?
A couple of users have done it here:
http://www.oldschoolvalue.com/…..-msn-data/
What I did was open the RCH spreadsheet, and edited the macro.
1. I did a search for all instances of http://www.advfn.com/ in the macro
2. I replace them with http://ca.advfn.com/
3. Note: I only found 2 instances in the entire project.

Yes, I am in Canada. I used the installer to add the program. So, does that mean I won't be able to use your spreadsheet then?

You're in Canada right?
Did you use the installer or just download the excel file only?
The income statement is coming from Advfn so the URL is linking to the US advfn site. It won't work for CA users..

Yes, this is the spreadsheet with the new layout. (Which is really great by the way) I just tried it again and it is not working with the income statement. Is there a spot where I need to specify which sheet to draw the source from?

It should be working. The income statement comes from advfn while the balance sheet and cash flow statements remains as morningstar (for now).
To make sure, you're using the spreadsheet with the new design right?

Sorry Jae,
I am referring to the latest one. It doesn't have the income statement section working. I was just assuming that you were still using morningstar.

Which update are you referring to?
I sent out the latest one last night and the income statement no longer uses Morningstar

Jae,
I just downloaded the new update and I entered in a ticker number and it seems that the spreadsheet is not finding the income statement portion of the data from Morningstar. The Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements are there. So, it is not allowing for ROA and ROE calculations for instance.
