I did start putting money in this fund. It's not just a merger/arbitrage fund but a general "event driven" fund that looks at not only merger/arbitrage but other opportunities (bankruptcy, restructuring, spin-off, etc).

It appears to be a relatively new fund but it has some "R shares" that have been around for a while so you can get an historical look. Historical performance is pretty decent. It looks like risk is low and returns were OK.

The interesting thing is that they will occassionally take short positions in the acquiring company if merger transaction is done via shares instead of cash.
