Jae, And I thought Parallels was the only game in town for running Windows on an iMac.   I went to VMWare and was most impressed with their site.  There is just no end to the little tidbits of information these forums hold.

I'm getting the new 10.1inch tablet soon so I'll have to see how useful that will be, but my experience with the small 7" tablets is that it is only good for reading news, blog lists and videos.

Other than that, I don't find it that much helpful. I don't have the full functionality of a computer and I get frustrated by the many steps I have to take to do the same thing I would on my computer.

Ditto for the iPad.

The tablets don't run macros. Only windows systems. It is a big limitation though.

What other people do is they run VMWare and then install windows and windows office. It's been confirmed that it does work like that.

Hey Jae,

I know you are a Samsung Galaxy tab user (and work for a major electronics company…I'm not putting two and two together or anything…)

How do you like your tablet? Do you only use it for media consumption (videos, surfing, reading etc) or do you integrate your tablet into stock research? Can it read excel files with macros? (ie: can you use your own spreadsheets on your tablet and have it populate all the data?) Or do you do all your spreadsheet work on a PC.

I am a Mac user, hence my yet-to-purchase your spreadsheets (and doing all my FCF, CROIC and DCF calculations by hand. boo) and I'm trying to figure out a cheap way to get some device in my life that can be compatible with your spreadsheets. From the little research I have done, it looks like most tablets wont be able to run excel with macros because they are using docs2go. I'm beginning to ge the sinking feeling that I have an eepc in my future.

Any thoughts?
