Hi saalu3

What you are referring to isn't the rolling median. It is the CAGR growth from 2006 to 2008.

http://www.investopedia.com/te…..c/cagr.asp

If you use that formula, you will get the growth rate.

The rolling median is the median value of all the multiyear periods.

Hi ,

Can anyone please explain how the EPS rolling growth calculation is done.

The calculation that Iam using does not seem to match the result in old school value Excel. Please let me know what's wrong in my calculation.

For EX: for MDT stock :

EPS 2006    2.09

EPS 2007    2.41   15.31% (growth rate)

EPS 2008    1.95   -19.09 % (growth rate)

average growth  : -1.89 . (15.31 -19.09 /2 )

But the growth in Excel sheet  is – 3.04 .

What is wrong in my way of calculation ?

Thanks,

Saalu.
