Here's the resolution that Olivier found.

I downloaded the Vista service pack 2, but it didn't fix the issue. However, I found another way to fix it. I attached a screenshot in case some of your users encounter the same issue.

Right Click on the .exe shortcut

    Properties

        Tab Compatibility

            Compatibility mode (check box)

                Select Win 98/min me

It seems like this isn't the first time it's happening.

I did some searching and found that it is a problem with Vista.

In Windows Vista, an application that is packaged by a version of InstallShield that is earlier than InstallShield 12 cannot be installed under the system account context.

This behavior occurs because of a design change for the system profile in Windows Vista.

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows Vista.

Hi Jae,

Let me start by congratulating you on your superb blog.

I bought the premium package yesterday end extracted the 2 files (OldSchoolValue_Spreadsheet.exe and Install-Guide-Manual.txt) to my desktop.

When I run the .exe file, InstallShield starts and then gives me the following message:

1155: File

C:\Users\Olivier\AppData\Local\Temp\{8DB131 School Value Stock Spreadsheet.msi not found

Any idea what's going on? I have Windows Vista and downloaded the package through Firefox.
