From the list of questions, many of them would have been answered by reading the manual or how to use guide, or simply watching the video.

1. statements shows historical numbers. Shares Outstanding box is the current number. Enter your own values in the yellow boxes.

2. Press F9 or the refresh button.

3. You can enter your value into any yellow box.

4. same as above

5. for data visualization purposes.

6. CROIC = [FCF]/[Tangible Shareholders Equity + Total Liabilities - Current Liabilities]

7. green = increase from previous year, red = decrease from previous year

8. no. It makes calculations and formulas easier to work with.

9. to look at the CAGR growth over multiple periods to understand how the company operated.

10. median is a simple math concept. Google “median” to find full answers.

11. = shareholders equity –intangibles.

12. CAGR of cash from operations between multiple periods.

13. a microchart to show trend.

14. 10 year multi year includes other years within the 10 year period to smooth the curve.

15. it is the data visualization and good design. Go to yahoo finance or google finance and see how the same information is at the top of every stock.

Jae; I am referring to (ABT) from 8/16/2010. I am a premium user.

1. I was wondering why for the Shares Outstanding box on top I get 1540 yet on the "Statements" spreadsheet for TTM I get either 1544.4 or 1551.8? In this case their was not much of a difference but if I wanted too change the 1540 number could I?

2. At the top you see M.O.S. My spreadsheet came pre-programmed to 50%. I changed it to 25% and nothing happened on my spreadsheet. Why? Do I change MOS in the E3 cell or C80 cell?

3. At the top for Growth my spreadsheet came pre-programmed for 13.9%. Could I change this if I wanted too?

4. At the top I see Discount % and Terminal %. I also see that their are drop down menus for each box. I see that you can choose one of the values from the drop down menu. Can I use other values other than what is provided in the drop down menu?

5. Why does the Cash Flow Data, Margins, and Margins sections repeat from the "Statements" spreadsheet?

6. I thought I read somewhere that you give CROIC = [FCF]/[Shareholders Equity + Total Liabilities - Current Liabilities] yet when I worked the figures for ABT 2000 I get [3099.6]/[8570.9 + 6712.4 - 4297.5] = 3099.6/10985.8 = 28.2146% and not 21.9%. Is this a mistake? Or what is the correct formula for CROIC?

7. Starting from cell C11 all the way to cell M38 why do I have different colors for different cells? Some numbers are written in red while others are written in green.

8. Why are the Capex figures here not ( ) while on the "Statements" spreadsheet they are? Is this a mistake?

9. In the 5 Year Multi-Year performance section. What is the purpose of this section? Where did you get this idea? Why are 2004-2007, 2005-2008, 2006-2009, 2004-2006, 2005-2007, 2006-2008, 2007-2009 listed when these are not even 5 year periods?

10. For column K42:K53 take one category and explain how you calculated the Median?

11. In cell A42 you gave Tangible Shareholder Equity. Please give the formula for this.

12. In cell A53 you gave Cash from Ops Growth. What is this? Please give the formula for this. How do you interpret this ?

13. What do the graphs in column B mean?

14. In the 10 Year Multi-Year Performance section. I see that every category is not 10 years! Why is this? Where is the 10 year performance for companies that have a 10 year or greater track record?

15. Why do cells A76:C83 repeat at the top. As you will see, I have noticed that much of the information provided repeats throughout all of the various spreadsheets. Except for the Dashboard spreadsheet why is this?

OK. That's all for the questions for this spreadsheet. Thanks.

1. To modify the discount rate, click on the "user discount" cell and then in your excel menu, find "data validation".

I don't know which office version you are using so to find where "data validation" is, you may need to do a search in Google or somewhere else.

Then in the data validation menu, select "any value". This will remove the drop down list and allow you to enter any value.

2. To make the changes to the graph as well, right click on any of the tabs and select unhide. Then unhide the one called "price vs value". You will also have to unhide columns A-D which calculates the intrinsic values for the graph.

Hi,

I'd like to modify the "DCF valuation" tab in the premium spreadsheet to suit better my style:

- use different "discount %" (D7), other than the allowed 9%, 15%, 20%

- I changed the "total value" formula (C69) by removing tangible assets addition, adding terminal value post-20-years and subtructing long term debt. However, it is not refrected in the "intrinsic value" graph (the red line). How can one access the formula for this "intrinsic value" line and modify it?

Thanks a lot.
