i dont seperate the two. in some cases its easy to seperate them ( new stores etc). in some its not. i am jus trying to see at a glance capex spending and compare all metrics on per share basic.
adding those 5 rows at the bottom of the statements tab is useful for me.

How would you do capex/share?
Do you separate growth and maintenance? Without separating, I dont see the importance of it.

Jae,
I see EPS, dividend per share, revenue/share, FCF/ Share Maybe, you can consider adding Capex/ Share and EBIT/Share.
Also , all those numbers are spread out. A section pulling them together on per share basis would be a good addition. Just a thought.

That's pretty much what the financial statement analysis spreadsheet does.
I split the purpose of the valuation spreadsheet to make valuation simple and keep the detailed and deep fundamental analysis to the financial statement spreadsheet.

Jae,
I want to retrieve the EV/ EBITDA number. in the competitor tab, you seem to pull data from other hidden tabs. So can you tell me a way to just get this number either using the URL etc.
Another neat modification is that on the Statements tab at the bottom, I computed the per share numbers for all the 10 years
Sales/Share, EPS, OCF / share, FCF / Share, DIV/ Share. This lets you see how these key numbers have been doing over the years and accounting for dilution. I used the Diluted share count. Its useful to see if a company is steady and predictable (say MSFT, WMT, JNJ) or is it cyclical ( VLO, home builders, Car manufacturers, steel companies, etc).
thanks
Adib

thanks for the reply. i added the cells and its working pretty well. i was not sure if i would be messing up the sheet. I added
Enterprise value ( below market cap)
Computed Dividend Yield = Dividend rate/ market price.
P/FCF ( instead of using the data from the competitor tab)
EV / OCF
Instead of payout ratio, i think the dividend / FCF makes more sense. Simply becoz payout ratio is Div per share / EPS. However, Dividends are paid out of FCF and not earnings. Hence i dont see the use of PayOut ratio. Any thoughts?

Seems like I made a reference to the Dividend Rate instead of dividend yield.
I'll go ahead and fix that.
You can modify and add cells to the dashboard without altering code and it will work for all companies.

Hi Jae,
I pulled up PM today on OSV sheets. I got a dividend yield of 2.3% on the competitor tab. I dont think its right. Maybe its returning the dividend per share instead?
Also, one simple question. If i wanted to add a few cells on the Main tab such as dividend yield and payout ratio by referring other tabs, if i add those cells and formulae and save the sheet. I should be able to use this for other tickers in future right? I dont need to mess with VB script for that?
I would recommend that you add the dividend yield on the Dashboard tab under Valuation.
