I've discussed this before with another person and concluded that although there are hidden assets that could be added to the reproduction value, keeping it simple is the best method. I do this by simply getting something very close to a tangible book value.

Then there are boxes where the user can add other specific items if they wish. Although I've automated it as much as I can, the user is still responsible for making the adjustments if necessary.

How is your spreadsheet calculating reproduction value? A lot of the line items require information from the 10k/q's to add bad bad debts etc. Also how do you deal with land and all these other things. Basically, the reproduction value is a very subjective and case by case analysis, so how are you producing this with just the ticker and financial statements from morningstar? I'm assuming that you just use a rule of thumb % for each. If that is true, how can the reprod. values you get from the spreadsheet be remotely accurate?
