I try to answer as quick as possible because I've experienced and understand from a customers viewpoint how frustrating it can be.
Glad you got it working.

Actually good news – I was able to get it working again. For some reason, Excel would not connect to the internet. The clue-in was when I tried to check for updates to Excel, it would not connect to the internet (even though my internet connection was working fine; I had just used it to post the problem on the forum!). A quick reboot of my computer and the problem fixed itself.
Thank you so much for the quick reply though, I love your product and your blog. Keep up the good work!

Jae, I am having the same problem and I do not have a Morningstar Premium account! The program worked fine for a week or so, and now all I get is #Value and Error in the cells… The only exception is for stocks I had previously entered when the program worked. Those stocks still come up, albeit with old data (e.g. stock price).

Jae,
I came home and ran 10 Yr Osv. Keyed in PFE, hit F9. No data retrieval. The Statements sheet is full of error and #value. So I open my premuim Morningstar subscription. Re-run the spreadsheet by keying in XOM this time and hit F9. The spreadsheet works. So I close Morningstar just to see if the spreadsheet will work, and enter PEP in the spreadsheet, hit F9. The spreadsheet still works. Go figure. I've tried all kinds of combinations searching (actually, vainly grasping ) to see some kind of pattern.
So it works now, but randomly won't at times.

Jae,
I closed the spreadsheet. Made sure I'm not logged into Morningstar. Reopened Excel using the 10 yr OSV shortcut icon on the desktop. Entered IBM in the Summary page box, hit f9, watch the calculating taking place. Still no data in the Statements page. It just shows errors and #value's.

That really is strange that its happening to you again.
Are you by any chance using for long periods of time? e.g. run about 30+ stocks on it without closing excel?
I have found that if I search through more than 30 stocks, I will get errors because excel cache cant store the data any longer.
Closing excel and restarting it does the trick.
And you're logged out of all Morningstar accounts from all your different browsers right?

Jae,
I know I've posted and e-mailed you about this. I am completely mystified why the spreadsheets on some days and times, both at home and at work, access data and other days not. The spreadsheets are on two different computers in two different locations. Right now, and for the last couple of days, they aren't working. There does not seem to be any pattern to this. I like to spend a few hours at a time working on stocks. When the spreadsheets don't work I'm completely dead in the water. I don't know if this is an Excel problem, a SMF problem, an internet problem or a Morningstar problem.
