Seems to work on MAC if you run Boot Camp

http://finance.groups.yahoo.co…..ssage/8225

VBA is pretty tighly coupled with the Windows OS, so it won't work under the Microsoft Excel that runs under the Apple OS X.  However it certainly should work if you wanted to run Windows through "Boot Camp" and install Excel for Windows.  As you probably know, this is not an 'emulation' program, it is true shrink wrapped Windows (of course you'll have to have a license for Windows and Excel for Windows).

Thanks Bart, Just leave a comment or a new post if you see anything you think would be a good addition to the spreadsheet. I have some things planned but it'll take a while to implement as I have to organize my thoughts.

Hi Jae, I've decided to go ahead and I've just bought and installed your spreadsheets on an old PC I had lying around.  Installation was completely painless, can't wait to start playing around with it ;-)  I was using the fwallstreet spreadsheet before, but I was pretty tired of inputting all the numbers, since I couldn't get the add-in to work on my mac ;-s  I'll let you know how I get on!

I think suggestions is the proper section anyways. Don't worry about posting in different folders. It's just a forum after all Smile

Ok about macs.

Many people own macs and I've searched many places, including the yahoo groups of the author but no one has ever been able to get it working with mac. It's because Mac uses a different runtime engine which doesn't process many of the required commands.

Even if you run excel off your mac, it wouldn't work.

I wish I could get it working too as it would only increase my market, so I'm still looking Wink

Hi Jae, sorry for posting in the wrong topic, but I couldn't post in the installation section.  Do you know of any people that have successfully installed the spreadsheets in MacOS X?  I'm very interested in trying cause it would make my evaluation process a lot faster (e.g. identifying pay-off of debt etc as you mentioned in another post), but you state that you don't support the spreadsheets on a mac?

many thanks,

Bart
