Here is a link to a great article by Seth Klarman from 2005.

Here is an excerpt : (He's talking on 10 value funds)

"During the year 2000, when the market peaked, I looked to see if the funds had owned any of a group of very high profile stocks which the editors of Fortune had selected in an August 2000 article entitled"10 Stocks to Last the Decade."  (Fortune 10) The subhead read "Here's a buy-and-forget portfolio," and the list represented the contributions of some "top stock pickers," as well as due diligence by the staff of Fortune. The ten stocks were as follows:

Broadcom, Charles Schwab, Enron, Genentech, Morgan Stanley, Nokia, Nortel Networks, Oracle, Univision, Viacom. ! "

Do you think that the value funds that Klarman picked out owned these securities in the year 2000?

You'll have to read to find out ….
