This is where your spreadsheets come in handy. I guess will come up with a list of the most successful companies (or what it looks like) and compare their data to see if something hits me on the face.

I would think you would have to analyze it like any other commodity company which I'm no good at.

But look at cement prices, backlog and the usual business operations.

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience in valuing a cement company.

I understand those companies who are really efficient in their power consumption or able to control their input energy costs might be the winners, but what are the typical things to look out for? Are there critical factors such as proximity to ports, distribution hubs, etc. that could determine the potential of a cement company?  Thank you.
