Aside from the ADR's I have no experience. The big difficulty is that I don't understand Japanese. Only the ADR's issue reports in english and I would assume the Japanese net net's wouldn't.

Currency conversion in calculations is also a pain.

Hey,

Does anyone here have any experience investing in Japan? Or does anyone have any links about investing in Japan? I am curious about the laws concerning bankruptcy as well as shareholder protection.

The reason I am asking is because of the exceptional about of Net Nets available. I have no clue about the japanese firms, but a diversified pool of stocks trading at 30% of Net Net Working Capital, with positive earnings, is bound to do well over a period of 2-2.5 years.
