The thing that is missing in the value investing community is a real value screener. One that focuses on cash flow, intrinsic value and some real metrics as opposed to the countless P/E, P/B, P/S type screeners on the web today.
Thankfully, I believe we are one step closer to achieving this with a brilliant stock screener based on the stock spreadsheets by Fabrice.
(You can also use the value screens available here. Read about the OSV and Graham Value Screen)
Fabrice is a value investor and awesome programmer from France, and if Google translation is accurate, I believe his site is called Happy Investors. Fabrice is also a buyer of the stock analysis tool and has put it to great use by automating the calculations of a list of stocks which he then converted to a screener which is updated weekly.
Stocks results are listed in the following categories
There is no option to select which variables you want to search and filter but there is a wealth of information which you can find from the stock spreadsheet.
It’s a great tool but because the stock valuations are calculated automatically without input adjustments, you will find that many stocks will have a large degree of error. But check it out for yourself at L’investisseur heureux.
If you do like the screener, you should consider purchasing the stock spreadsheet for accurate results. Also, prices will go up in 2010. Last chance to get it cheap while you can.

Here we go.

What are those Green, Red, Orange Colors?
Those colors are only used to improve readability.
Green color is used if Margin of Safety is greater than 10%, red color if MoS less than -10% and orange otherwise.
With MorninStar Rating, green is for A and B ; orange is for C and D ; red otherwise.

Hello Jae, thank you for the topic. Translation for Happy Investors is good.
About the “screener”, as you said some valuations have a large degree of error so it cannot replace an Excel Sheet with customized values (specialy for reconstitution cost) and some work.

Thank you kindly Jae and Fabrice.

Thanks to Fabrice for making it. I hope you expand the list of stocks later on.

I have just released v1.4 for the screener.
I have added some screens which isolate stocks with high Sales, FCF or tangible equity consistency (I use for this a R2 regression correlation coefficient on 10 years annual data).
