I just had better places to put my money.

And I don't see EVI reaching its intrinsic value anytime soon. The company has no catalysts and I'm not very fond of small caps with huge family ownership.

Good analysis. Very similar to what I found out as well as others invested in EVI.

I sold out my position though.

Are you able to share your reason for selling out of your position?

Thanks.

I thought this was an excellent writeup on EVI:

I did read that low ball offer by the CEO and I too figured he isn't shareholder friendly but that isn't going to matter as much when the company is an onging operation.  If it was a liquidation or a strategic review situation, that would be a worry but as of now the company is still able to generate cash.

But it's something to keep my eye on. Not a deal breaker for me though.

I have one question about this stock. I can see why Jae likes it. The thing that bothers me was an article I read about it that mentioned a tender offer of 85 cents a couple of years ago. I have not researched that report further, but the insinuation was that this was a low-ball offer on the part of management. I was just interested in hearing if this strikes anybody else as less than "share-holder friendly", and wondered if anybody here would like to comment further.

Best wishes,

Jim

Q1 report is out.  No real changes in the BS, revenues dropped by almost 50% and they posted negative earnings, but still managed to generate about 400k in FCF.

company is changing names to Envirostar (EVI). Never did like companies changing names. Earnings wasn't good but I'll have to look at the financials.

Since the company will trade under a new ticker data will start all over I think. Have to save all the spreadsheet data for DCU.

Still trying to get more shares. Very hard to accumulate with the low volume and I don't want to drive up prices so I'm being patient at the moment.

A growth rate of 0% gives a value of about 90c but I think DCU is better than that. Numbers show that management is capable. CROIC has been at 14% so I used a low yet realistic growth rate of 6% or so. Can't remember the exact number but it's going to be around there.

Just a quick question, how did you get Graham price to be $ 1.91

Thanks

opened position in DCU @ $1.00

Steady boring business. Although it isn't a fast or widely known company, fundamentals look good.

Just checked it out quickly with my spreadsheet and Im getting some pretty decent and interesting numbers.

The earnings (even after adjustment) has been steady, FCF positive for a company its size but debt is slowly rising.

DCF: $1.60

Graham: $1.91

EPV: $2.07

NNWC: $0.63

So there is enough consistency to come to a quick conclusion that DCU is worth at least $1.50 and the downside is somewhat protected as well.

Low volume and high volatility is something you have to bear. I'm going to have to put this on my to do list.
